Courier companies in this part of the world have a bad reputation. DHL Toulouse, France, is no exception.
My aunt came here to visit me all the way from New Zealand. Unfortunately her new Drivers Licence only arrived at home the day after her departure for Europe and so the family retained DHL to deliver it.
DHL Toulouse claimed that someone called “PENY” signed for it on 8 August 2011 at 13h00. This was untrue.
I faxed them twice from here; on 18 August 2011 at 13h32 and again today, 20 August 2011, at 09h24. I deliberately omitted to provide my phone numbers as I wanted to (i) get a written response, and (ii) see if they in fact had my number. One would have though that they would phone me if they could not find my address. Lying gits.
Strangely, at 11h00 today, DHL Toulouse telephoned me to say that they have a delivery for me from New Zealand which would take place “next week”. I told them to return that they lied about delivery to me and that they must return it to the sender. (I have advised the ‘sender’, my cousin to tell DHL in New Zealand to give her the money back as my aunt left here ages ago.)
Here is the patently dishonest DHL tracking report:

Hello,
AIRWAYBILL No.: 2565657404
I am infuriated about the dishonesty of DHL. I want to see the signed receipt of delivery PLUS all of the signed delivery notes for the courier for that day. The reason for this is that it will demonstrate that the courier was nowhere near my town at all.
I have articulated my complaint on my blog for all the world to see.
Your response as also the above requested details are awaited.

Bonjour,
J’ai articulé mon irritation avec DHL Toulouse sur mon blogue.
J’attends votre réponse pour la publication – en français ou en anglais
Cordialement,

Hi
I thought I ought to write to let you know that I have forwarded details of your posting on DHL to the ’Boss of Bosses’ the CEO of DHL, Frank Appel in Bonn, Germany.
I have today just written to him as I have just suffered / am suffering at the hands of DHL Toulouse and their lies. They claim to have tried to deliver to me on 14/10 and came no where near me. In my letter I cited your posted example to indicated this is not a one of case.
If you wish to check out my particular issues the DHL tracking number is [Removed]. I am also happy to let you have a copy of my letter if you let me have your email address.
Incidentally, in your DHL incident the wording has now been changed from ’Peny’ signing to ’illegible signature’.
Kind Regards,
DB
