The House

The ground floor of my 400+ year old home comprises two storage areas. The store in a French home is called a cave – pronounced carve. The smaller of the two caves is for ordinary storage and the other, larger cave, called Ivan’s Cave, has two fridges, a washing machine and clothes dryer and is a combination pantry, laundry, wine cellar and workshop.
